Mummy MHNGr.ET.1017 is a bird mummy with the head of a Buteo rufinus directly visible on top of a wrapped Osirian form. This head was attached by means of a plant stem and a mortar of sort to smoothly connect it with the mummy’s fabric. The wrapping layers contains a very young bird body. It has not mineralized, and its skull was subjected to lateral compression. Its stomach content is still present and included many fish bones.
